Apple 's latest smartphone handsets were collected by eager fans waiting at Apple Stores across the globe on the day. The company also launched its new version of iOS the day before.

Among them is a new top-end e-reader called Kindle Voyage and Amazon's first tablet for children, the Fire HD Kids Edition.
Finally, Phones 4u went into administration this week , putting thousands of jobs at risk. Vodafone has since revealed that it will take on 140 stores and their 900 staff.
