EastEnders newcomer Linda Marlowe for Dickens with a Difference

A Dickens double-bill with a difference will come to London's Trafalgar Studios this winter with productions based around Great Expectations and Oliver Twist.

EastEnders newcomer Linda Marlowe will play 'Norma' Havisham in Miss Havisham's Expectations and James Swanton fronts Sikes & Nancy.

Miss Havisham's Expectations is written and directed by Di Sherlock and produced by Julie Clare for One Spirit Productions and Tim Johanson Productions.

The one-hour play previously enjoyed success at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe and runs from Tuesday, December 9 to Saturday, January 3.


Performances are on Monday to Saturday at 7.45pm, with matinees on variable days on 3pm.



Sikes & Nancy

Sikes & Nancy is based on readings given by Dickens and performed/adapted by Swanton, who plays Fagin, Nancy, Brownlow and Sikes in the production.

Also an hour long, the second-half of the double bill runs over the same dates, with performances starting at 9.15pm.


Tickets are priced at £15 to £30 per show, and those buying tickets for both shows can save up to £10.


Marlowe was recently cast as Shirley Carter's mother Sylvie in EastEnders.
