A number of familiar faces from the Channel 4 soap were present as Leon and his wife June marked the milestone at a restaurant launch in Liverpool.

Jorgie Porter (Theresa McQueen) and Stephanie Davis (Sinead Roscoe) surprised Leon and June by presenting them with a birthday cake at new Chinese restaurant Chy, located in Liverpool city centre. The gift was an early treat ahead of Leon turning 80 on Monday (October 27).
Other Hollyoaks stars at the VIP launch event included Gemma Merna (Carmel McQueen), Danny Mac (Dodger Savage), David Kennedy (Dirk Savage), Charlie Wernham (Robbie Roscoe) and former cast member James Atherton (Will Savage).

Former Shameless actress Tina Malone and Olympic boxer Natasha Jonas were also in attendance.
Adam Wan of Chy Liverpool said: "Leon clearly enjoyed his night on the tiles with Liverpool's glitterati. It got quite emotional when everyone in the venue joined in to sing 'Happy Birthday'."
Leon and June have been appearing on Gogglebox since its first series in March 2013.
