This made it all the more shocking when a (false) TMZ report surfaced Thursday claiming that the TLC star had rekindled a romance with Mark McDaniel, a man convicted for aggravated child molestation in 2004. McDaniel's son Michael McDaniel told E! News his father, who he insists was wrongly convicted of molestation, is "not dating [Mama June], it's been 10 years."
Mama June also confirmed this in a Facebook post, writing that her relationship with Mark "is my past[.] I left him 10 yrs ago for it and I wouldn't go back."
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo matriarch, who announced last month that she and longtime love Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson were calling it quits, made her statement "trying to clear up the rumors," reminding fans, "you can't believe everything you read! Ppl sell stories to the tabloid(s) everyday that r false!"
"It isn't true," she said, presumably referring to the now-thoroughly debunked report. "I promise my kids r #1 priority over anything else and I would never put them in danger period over this or anything else[.] they r my life."

http://youtube.com/screenjunkies She also shared a link to a Radar's interview with daughter Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon. In it, the 14-year-old reiterated that her mother and Mark "haven't seen nor talked [to each other] in 10 years."
Pumpkin also said Mama June is doing just fine as a single lady. "She is all about the kids. She only needs us girls, no one else," she said. "We are all sticking together as one happy family with us four girls."
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo returns to TLC in January 2015 for its fifth season.
