Strictly Come Dancing week 4: Jake Wood tops reader poll

Digital Spy readers have decided that Jake Wood performed best during last night's episode of (October 18) Strictly Come Dancing.

The EastEnders actor and his professional partner Janette Manrara secured 31.42% of votes for their jive, which placed them in joint-first place on the scoreboard with 33 points.

Caroline Flack and Pasha Kovalev were this week's second most-popular choice, securing 18.69% of the vote for their 33-point scoring Quickstep.

DS readers gave Frankie Bridges 11.51% of the vote, which places her third in the poll and second on the leaderboard for her Cha Cha to 'Call Me Maybe'.


Joining Bridges in second place on the leaderboard is Pixie Lott, whose Rhumba scored 32 points and secured her 7.88% of votes, placing her in fourth place in the poll.

Alison Hammond's Beyoncé-inspired Samba landed her 7.73% of reader votes, putting her in fifth place in the poll and sixth on the leaderboard.

Scott Mills may have only scored 15 points for his American Smooth, but DS readers put him in sixth place with 3.65% of their votes.


Casualty's Sunetra Sarker's 27 points put her in joint-sixth place yesterday, but she won over 3.54% of voters with her Salsa.


Thom Evans scored 30 points for his Foxtrot, which put him in fourth place on the leaderboard, and he also received 3.37% of reader votes, placing him in eighth position on the poll.

Simon Webbe, who last week placed bottom in the reader poll, had 3.26% of support for his Charleston, which scored 31 points and secured him third place on the leaderboard.

DS readers gave Judy Murray 2.77% of the vote, putting her in tenth place. Murray's Tango scored 22 points yesterday and landed her in seventh place.


Steve Backshall and and Ola Jordan's Salsa scored 27 points, and 2.73% of the vote, while Mark Wright's Quickstep scored him 2.32% of public vote.

Finally, Tim Wonnacott's Paso Doble scored the least amount of support, with only 1.12% of readers voting for the antiques expert.

More than 4,500 Digital Spy readers took part in this week's poll.


Strictly Come Dancing's results show airs tonight (Sunday, October 19) at 7.20pm on BBC One.
