The X Factor: What did the judges say on Movie Week?

Week Three saw The X Factor contestants perform famous songs from the long and glorious history of the movies.

Digital Spy rounds up what Simon Cowell , Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh had to say about Saturday night's (October 25) acts - and if you missed the show, you can catch up with all the performances below, too:

1. Jake Quickenden: 'She's Like The Wind' by Patrick Swayze (from Dirty Dancing)

Louis: "You probably should have spent more time in the studio than the gym."

Simon: "If you do last another week, and I think that's unlikely after that, you need to get better at singing. I'm disappointed for you."

2. Only The Young: 'Boom Clap' by Charli XCX (from The Fault In Our Stars)

Mel B: "I really really like that song. I thought you did a great job. I would have liked to have heard a few more harmonies, though."

Cheryl: "It's nice that you sang a current song. I like when you're free and you're just you."

3. Jay James: 'Skyfall' by Adele (from Skyfall)

Louis: "You never let us down. You're versatile, consistent, you're going to go far."

Mel B: "I don't particularly like that song but you made me like it, the whole presentation….well done."

4. Andrea Faustini: 'Listen' by Beyonce (from Dreamgirls)

Simon: "Britain has taken our little Italian teddy bear into their hearts. You put so much into it, but that's who you are."

Cheryl: "There's never one performance that you don't put everything into, consistently."

5. Lola Saunders: 'When You Believe' by Mariah Carey (from The Prince Of Egypt)

Mel B: "That was stunning, you look stunning, you sounded stunning. You really need to start believing in yourself because you're amazing."

Louis: "You are so talented, and I know what this means to you. Vote for Lola!"

6. Paul Akister: 'Try A Little Tenderness' by Otis Redding (from The Commitments)

Simon: "This has been a massive transformation week on week. You delivered the song brilliantly. The best performance we've seen so far from you."

Mel B: "I loved it, you did exactly what I wanted you to and some. Brilliant."

7. Lauren Platt: 'Let It Go' by Demi Lovato (from Frozen)

Mel B: "For me in the first part of the song you could've taken more chances. It was towards the end that you kicked it up a gear."

Cheryl: "You did it again, you're an absolutely pleasure to work with. Standout performance of the evening."

8. Jack Walton: 'Eye Of The Tiger' by Survivor (from Rocky)

Simon: "As a recording artist, I think you could be really good. The problem was it was like you were invited to a party and didn't really want to be there."

Louis: "I got a little bit bored in the middle. I think you can do a lot better."

9. Fleur East: "Lady Marmalade' by Pink, Mya, Christina Aguilera and Lil' Kim (from Moulin Rouge!)

Cheryl: "You are an all-rounder, Fleur, you can sing, you can dance, you can act. I wasn't that excited until you hit the rap, but I loved it then."

Mel B: "You just shut me right up, didn't you? I loved it, absolutely loved it."

10. Stevi Ritchie: 'Footloose' by Kenny Loggins (from Footloose)

Louis: "I just didn't get it. It was corny. It was like someone drunk at a wedding, It's time to go home."

Mel B: "Let's be honest, you really do have a good time up there. That's it."

11. Stereo Kicks: 'Let It Be/Hey Jude' by The Beatles (from Across The Universe)

Simon: "I think this is a turning point. Any time you want to leave Louis and join me, I'll mentor you."

Cheryl: That is more like it, you got a reaction from the crowd. Excellent staging. I can hear you all can sing, so well done.

12. Ben Haenow: 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' by Aerosmith (from Armageddon)

Mel B: "You sang that pitch perfect. My only criticism is I didn't feel that raw emotion, but apart from that…vocals on point."

Louis: "I'm not a big fan of that song, but I'm a sucker for a love story so I'll give it to you this week."

The X Factor results show airs tomorrow (Sunday, October 26) at 8pm on ITV1.
