So, a lot of you can think what you want about Selena Gomez, but she knows who she is.
“I don’t let it get to me,” she said about haters to the We Day crowd in Vancouver on Wednesday. “It’s entirely normal to be pulled off course, and get in my mind and let that inside, and distract me from who I am, but if i did that it would drive me crazy. I want to say you are not defined by an Instagram photo, by a like, by a comment. That does not define you.”
Selenators are taking her words to heart, posting selfies on Instagram with the fan-made hashtag “#ShareYourBeauty.” And you know what? If a meanie comments, who cares? Or, as Selena would say, “Forgive them.”
Gomez kept reposting photos of these people with her support, surfing the #ShareYourBeauty tag and showing off her lovely fans, saying “Yea, that’s the stuff I care about.”
She even tried it out for herself!
