The hit comedy series based around a group of geeky physicists and their clueless misadventures returns for its eighth season.

In the first episode Amy and Leonard find themselves in Arizona after Sheldon's chaotic cross-country train journey, while Penny interviews for a position at Bernadette's company.

Series two in this drama on the Birmingham-based gang, the Peaky Blinders, has focused on their ambitious growth led by Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy).

As Tommy finds out about the mission Major Campbell (Sam Neill) wants him to undertake, Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson) attempts a takeover of London's Eden Club.


Russell Howard's Good News: BBC Two, 10pm

For its ninth series, Russell Howard's comedic take on the week's news moves channels from BBC Three.

This week sees Howard once again tackle the big stories from this week with his usual satirical methods.


Scorpion: ITV2, 9pm

New to ITV2, this US drama is based on the true story of computer expert Walter O'Brien (Elyes Gabel), as he recruits other geniuses to become the last line of defence against global, high-tech threats.

The first episode sees O'Brien recruiting his team, in order to help with a crisis at LAX airport that is preventing many planes from landing.
