She’s already played the cleverest witch of our times, and now she’s bound for a truly magical love story: Emma Watson will play Belle in a live-action update of “Beauty and the Beast.”
“Time to start some singing lessons,” Watson wrote in a Facebook post announcing the role, adding that “my six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting.”
Bill Condon, who directed parts 1 and 2 of “Twilight: Breaking Dawn,” as well as “Dreamgirls,” “The Fifth Estate” and more, is in the director’s chair for the film, which is expected to start production later this year.
Of course, we know our girl Emma will be perfect for the part. Here’s why:
She knows how to make an entrance.
She knows how to put the boys in their place.
She’s gonna knock that ballroom dancing out of the park.
