It feels like just yesterday we were gazing at Katy Perry’s Billboard cover, excited for the spread that was to come. JK, that was yesterday, but new day, new photos and video for us to look at until the big performance on Sunday.
The article gives us a few clues as to what to expect, outfit-wise, from the performance, including “candy-colored, body-hugging costumes and pull on matching socks and sneakers” on the dancers. It also reveals just how involved KP is in the creative process and that she weighs in “on everything from shoe options to zippers versus velcro.” Perhaps the most revealing detail, though, is that Katy employs a woman whose job it is to add “‘bling’ to the wardrobes.” Are you ready for Sunday? I don’t think I am.
The article is accompanied by a BTS video which previews a number of the looks from the spread and shows us just how Super Bowl themed Katy is even when not shooting—matching her red, white, and blue cover manicure to her shirt.
The video also lets us in on Katy’s plans for after the performance which, obviously, involve a “hot pepperoni pizza on standby.” No word yet on whether she’ll be wearing any pizza-themed clothing while she eats the pizza, but it seems like a safe bet.
