Three appeal judges agreed that selling the item without Rihanna's involvement was an act of "passing off", referring to the unauthorised use of a personal image.
Rihanna had sued Topshop's parent company Arcadia for $5m (£3.3m) in 2013 over the T-shirts.
In July of that year, judge Justice Birss stated that some buyers may have bought the top due to a "false belief" that it was an official Rihanna product.
He added that it had damaged her "goodwill" and showed a loss of control over Rihanna's standing in the "fashion sphere".
Rihanna is expected to release her eighth studio album later in 2015.
