Premier World Cup prognosticator Paul the Octupus is no longer with us, but he may have a worthy heir in Teddy Bear the Porcupine (confusing, we know). Teddy Bear has correctly predicted the last three Super Bowl champions, according the Dallas Zooniversity, and now the 11-year-old spiny rodent has proffered his forecast for Sunday’s big game in a chance to bring his streak to four.
In the video, Teddy Bear is presented two containers with ears of corn — one marked with a Seahawks helmet and the other with a Patriots helmet — and the one he eats is his pick for the winner of Super Bowl XLIX. See which team gets Teddy Bear’s blessing below:
Seattle it is! Guess he’s pretty miffed about Deflategate.
Oh, and in case you’re skeptical, the video also shows what is allegedly older footage of the critter using similar corn-choosing tactics to select winners going back to the Giants-Pats Super Bowl in 2012. So, think of all the free time you have this weekend now that you don’t have to watch the game on Sunday!
