Even during years when Drake doesn’t put out a full project — like 2014 — he’s shown fans that he’ll still feed their needs with a steady stream of remixes, verses and one-offs. So just imagine what 2015 could be like, when we may get two new projects from the Young Money rapper.
“I know Drake’s dropping a mixtape that I’ve already heard a lot of and it’s crazy,” P. Reign told KarenCivil. “I think it’s some of the best I’ve heard from him in my life and I already know off Drake’s mixtape the world is going to shake.”
Considering the world pretty much shakes off Drizzy’s Soundcloud page, that sounds like a safe bet.
This confirms what we heard late last year, when Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan subtly dropped that he was primed to hear the upcoming mixtape.
“I talked to him the other night,” DeRozan said during an interview, when discussing his relationship with the franchise’s Global Ambassador. “Actually, he said he wants to give me his mixtape that come out in January.”
Obviously, there are only a few days left in January at this point, so maybe that initial timetable is off (but hopefully not, and maybe we get a surprise gift by week’s end). Either way, though, all signs seem to be pointing to a new Drake mixtape before long.
A mixtape and an official album, Views From the 6? Bring on 2015.
