Thursday ratings: Grey's Anatomy and Scandal return strong

Grey's Anatomy and Scandal both returned strong for ABC on Thursday (January 29).

The medical drama rose two-tenths of a point to 2.8 (8.71m) at 8pm, before Scandal hit 3.6 (10.48m) at 9pm and How to Get Away with Murder reached 3.1 (9.18m) at 10pm.

ABC won the key 18-49 demographic overall with 3.1, but CBS had the most viewers.

CBS's The Big Bang Theory dipped a tenth with 4.5 (17.25m) at 8pm, Mom soared with 2.8 (11.78m) at 8.30pm, Two and a Half Men averaged 2.3 (9.71m) at 9pm and The McCarthys generated 1.6 (7.11m) at 9.30pm.


Elementary followed on CBS at 10pm, earning 1.3 (7.69m).

The Biggest Loser interested 1.4 (5.37m) at 8pm on NBC, before Parenthood rose to a season high of 1.7 (5.46m) at 10pm.

American Idol continued to fall for Fox at 8pm, dipping six-tenths to 2.2 (9.37m).


The Vampire Diaries took 0.7 (1.47m) at 8pm on The CW, while Reign was equal with last week's score of 0.4 (1.02m) at 9pm.
