The Battlefield Hardline development team acknowledged the issue on Twitter, explaining that it was working on a fix.
The issue appears to be affecting users in multiple regions on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
It follows yesterday's (March 18) reports of a DDoS attack on Xbox One.
EA Access members have also experienced minor issues with the game when upgrading to the full release.
Subscribers were forced to replay the first episode in single-player in order to access previously unlocked levels and upgrades.
Out now in North America, Battlefield Hardline makes its European debut from Friday, March 20.
