In between binge-watching the third season of “House of Cards” and replaying Carly Rae Jepsen’s new “I Really Like You” video on loop, there’s one more new release you absolutely MUST add to your queue this weekend.
“Serena,” the latest movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, is miraculously now available to rent on Google Play and iTunes — a whole three weeks before it’s slated to hit theaters on March 27!
The period drama — based on the novel of the same name by Ron Rash — chronicles the story of a ruthless timber baron and his equally ruthless wife building a business empire during the 1930s Depression. Think a vintage, morally bankrupt Frank and Claire Underwood.
“Serena” marks the third collaboration between Lawrence and Cooper after “Silver Linings Playbook” and “American Hustle.” Oh, and then there’s their upcoming film “Joy,” which is currently shooting in Massachusetts. Dream team much?

Any movie that features J Law swinging an axe, rocking a fur coat, AND looking gloriously badass on horseback is definitely worth the watch in our opinion.
