Congratulations, ‘Walking Dead,’ That Was Officially Your Goriest Main Character Death Yet

There are some things in life you simply cannot unsee. The latest main character death on “The Walking Dead” is absolutely one of them.

In case you haven’t seen the episode yet, now’s your last chance to turn around: SPOILERS are ahead. If you have seen the episode, then chances are good that you’ve been awake all night, completely unable to shake what just went down.

Either way, prepare for a seriously NSFW retelling of one of the grossest deaths in “Walking Dead” history.

First of all, let’s start with a warm-up:

AMC

That’s Aiden Monroe, the righteous ROTC graduate son of Alexandria leaders Deanna and Reg. In the end, he proved that he has guts — lots and lots of guts, yanked right out of his body by a bunch of walkers.

Pretty gross, right? Not nearly as gross as what happened to Noah. He and Glenn were trapped inside of a glass turnstile, walkers on either side of them.

AMC

Thanks to Alexandria veteran Nicholas, the turnstile pushed open, sending Noah directly into the hands of the walkers…

AMC

Leaving Glenn helpless to watch…

AMC

As everyone eats Chris Noah…

AMC

And eats…

AMC

And eats some more.

AMC

And we, like Glenn, will probably never eat again.

AMC

It was vicious and vile, an absolutely disgusting death, the likes of which we have never seen happen to a main character on “The Walking Dead,” short of maybe T-Dog — and even then, we were spared from having to watch in up-close-and-personal detail as the prison-dwelling zombies ripped him limb from limb.

In the aftermath of Noah’s death, we’re left with a lot of questions. Does Noah’s death mean Beth’s death is now completely meaningless? Does it mean Tyreese’s death was nothing, too? But most importantly, who the heck is going to pay for our therapy bills? Because that was traumatic.

Likes pizza, punch and pie. Dislikes the Chitauri.
