Coronation Street: Andy's deception tops soap ratings with 6.7m

Andy's deception on Coronation Street topped Friday night (March 6)'s soap ratings, according to overnight figures.

The first instalment of the show was seen by 6.71m (34%) at 7.30pm, as Steph and Andy wondered how they would pay off Gavin. 6.52m (29.4%) tuned in at 8.30pm, as Andy stole the Bistro's takings and lied to both Michael and the police.



The police quiz Andy and assure Nick they will investigate the mugging.




Kat's visit from social services on EastEnders was seen by 6.32m (29.7%) at 8pm on BBC One, followed by a further 286k (1.9%) on BBC Three at 10pm.

Elsewhere on ITV, Emmerdale's 7pm screening attracted 5.73m (32.2%), as Andy's behaviour gave his friends and family cause for concern.

On Channel 4, 690k (4%) tuned in for Hollyoaks at 6.30pm, where there were more surprises in store for Joe. E4's first-look episode at 7pm aired to 486k (2.6%), as Grace was left spooked by haunting reminders of Mercedes.

Home and Away's latest episode aired to 250k (3.9%) at 1.15pm and 566k (3.5%) at 6pm, as Phoebe faced more trouble.


Neighbours, meanwhile, aired to 668k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 683k (4.3%) at 5.30pm, as Brad dropped a bombshell on Terese.


BBC One's Doctors was seen by 1.31m (19.8%), as Karen had a memorable day at the zoo – for all the wrong reasons.
