After Stan's health takes a turn for the worst and he is rushed into hospital, Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White ) feels the pressure as the Carters continue to disagree over the best course of action for him.
As Tina grows ever more frustrated at Stan's behaviour and he demands to go into a care home, Tina is forced to ask Shirley for the money he loaned Dean last year.
When Shirley refuses, Tina takes a chance and makes a call asking for help. However, Sonia can see through Stan's behaviour and later suggests to an angry Tina that a hospice may be the best option.
After a final attempt to get through to Stan, an increasingly stressed Tina finally snaps and storms out, before later bumping into Sonia on the Square. With Sonia facing her own personal problems with Martin and her daughter Rebecca, she finds herself drawn to Tina again.
With tensions running high, the pair give into their feelings and share a passionate kiss, but will it lead to something more meaningful this time?
