Ford was apparently attended to by doctors who happened to be on the golf course at the time, having reportedly suffered some facial cuts.
He was later taken to nearby Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles, but there has been no official statement on his health as yet.
Los Angeles fire department officials would only confirm that a 70-year-old victim was found in "moderate condition" outside of the plane, and was "alert, conscious and breathing" when transferred to the hospital.
A golf club employee told the news service: "There was blood all over his face... Two very fine doctors were treating him, taking good care of him. I helped put a blanket under his hip."
Ford, an experienced aviator, made headlines for being injured on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens last year.
Production was shutdown temporarily on the film as he underwent leg surgery, but Ford was able to return to work weeks later.
