Madame Tussauds London confirmed the news on its official website: "Katrina has collaborated closely with our sculptors and artists to decide a dancing pose and outfit for the figure, having given a sitting in Mumbai where all the measurements required to create an accurate likeness were gathered."

The world-famous waxworks conducted a poll to find out which Bollywood actress amongst Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra was the most popular choice to be on show at the prestigious museum.

Kaif received the most votes to become the fourth Bollywood actress whose wax figure will be interred at the museum.

The star joins Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, all of whom have been immortalised in wax at the museum.
