Kendrick Lamar 's new album has broken the Spotify record for the most streams in a single day.
The album beats the number previously reached by Michael Bublé's album Christmas, which set a new record on Christmas Eve 2014.

To Pimp a Butterfly was streamed by 9.6 million people during its first day of release on Monday (March 16).
The album beats the number previously reached by Michael Bublé's album Christmas, which set a new record on Christmas Eve 2014.
Lamar's latest record was made available to fans on iTunes and Spotify on Monday, a week earlier than previously announced.
The album was temporarily removed from digital outlets after it emerged that its early release was accidental.
To Pimp a Butterfly includes Lamar's previously unveiled tracks 'i' and 'The Blacker the Berry'. It serves as the follow-up to his 2012 album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.
