Kendrick Lamar's new album has beaten the record set by Michael Bublé

The album beats the number previously reached by Michael Bublé's album Christmas, which set a new record on Christmas Eve 2014.

Lamar's latest record was made available to fans on iTunes and Spotify on Monday, a week earlier than previously announced.

The album was temporarily removed from digital outlets after it emerged that its early release was accidental.

To Pimp a Butterfly includes Lamar's previously unveiled tracks 'i' and 'The Blacker the Berry'. It serves as the follow-up to his 2012 album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.
