Following pressure from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), Stubhub, Seatwave, Viagogo and Get Me In have all agreed to offer consumers clearer information.
According to BBC News , the sites will now include the original cost of any ticket listed, whether there are any entry restrictions or restricted views, and more comprehensive seating details.
The sites must also make clear any additional charges that are involved in attending an event, as well as providing a contact email address should customers encounter any problems.
A Viagogo spokesperson said: "We are always happy to listen to recommendations about the way we display information on our website, and we will be making these changes in due course."
Meanwhile, Ticketmaster - which owns Get Me In and Seatwave - said that it already considers its websites to be "safe and secure" for fans.
