Let’s be honest: If you’re going to interrupt Ryan Gosling, it had better be for a really good reason.
Like, for example, this one.
This video was captured during the SXSW premiere of Gosling’s directorial debut, “Lost River,” when an audience member used her turn at the microphone to make a statement totally unrelated to the business that was happening onstage.
Holding a ring in one hand, she explained that she and her girlfriend had recently been united after two years in a long-distance relationship. And now that they were finally together in the same city?
“I want to spend the rest of my life with her,” she said.
And the crowd went wild.
Needless to say, everyone was way too overcome by the unbelievably sweet engagement they just witnessed to mind that it had nothing to do with “Lost River” — and Ryan Gosling himself blessed the union, choosing that moment to bring the presentation to a close.
“Let’s end on that note, shall we?” he said. “Congratulations!”
