Sam Smith was crying again this a.m. — but not over anything sad. Nope, he was weeping tears of mirth after checking out a fan Vine that puts a new spin on his track, “Lay Me Down.”
“Lay Me Down” is a pretty solemn song — as well as this year’s Red Nose Day single, with special guest John Legend. The fundraising effort — organized by Comic Relief — took place last Friday, with all proceeds from Smith’s song going to the cause.
We’d like to think Vine user Gabe‘s iteration of the song is a play on Red Nose Day as well. Get it? Red noses? Sneezing. OK, that might be a bit of a stretch… Either way, enjoy!
