What to Watch: Tonight's TV Picks - Banished, Cucumber

BAFTA-winning writer Jimmy McGovern returns to British television to tell the story of the first settlers in Australia - British officers and convicts, all lost and endlessly at odds.

Russell Tovey, MyAnna Buring and Julian Rhind-Tutt head up an excellent cast in this grim but rewarding drama.


Cucumber: Channel 4, 9pm

If you're not watching Cucumber, you're missing out - last week's episode was simply stunning and tonight we explore the fall-out on Henry (Vincent Franklin).

Stoddart's killer has been unmasked, but there's still plenty of intrigue to come in Fortitude, airing its sixth episode tonight.

Morton (Stanley Tucci) steps up his investigation into the death of Billy Pettigrew and uncovers a shocking conspiracy, while the relationship between Markus (Darren Boyd) and Shirley (Jessica Gunning) takes an even darker turn.
