BCBG Founder Max Azria's Mansion Is Listed for $85 Million

The 17-bedroom, 22-bathroom Holmby Hills estate called "Maison du Soleil" is fit for a (fashion) king and queen.

It wouldn't be so far off to call designer Max Azria the real Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The 66-year-old designer just put his and wife Lubov's extravagant West Los Angeles estate on the market for $85 million, and the photos of the recently renovated mansion put Uncle Phil's Bel Air home to shame.

"Maison du Soleil" is located in the exclusive Holmby Hills neighborhood of Bel Air, and according to its real estate listing on Redfin, has over 60 rooms, including 17 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms, as well as amenities such as "a Morrocan bathhouse," a home gym and five lush, secluded gardens. And of course, what mansion would be complete without a 6,000-square-foot private movie theatre?

Perhaps the most exciting feature for us L.A. dwellers, however, is the 20 parking spaces. Because street parking your fleet of vehicles is for peasants.

As expected, the interior is decorated to perfection with the same modern yet charismatic touch the Azrias put into their labels, which include BCBG, BCBG Max Azria and Herve Lerger. From the impeccable marble kitchen to the dreamy walk-in closets (which might as well count as bedrooms themselves), no extravagance was spared.

The Azrias purchased the home, which was the 1930s vision of famed architect Paul Williams, for $14.5 million in 2005, reports Forbes. They have spent the last 10 years renovating the 30,000-square-foot estate into what has now become a mega mansion.
