Joni Mitchell, the beloved singer, songwriter and queen of Laurel Canyon, is unresponsive and in a coma. The 71 year-old singer was found unconscious in her home on March 31, though in the days following her website reported that she was indeed on the mend.

Now, according to TMZ, Mitchell's condition has taken a turn and a close friend was just granted conservatorship over her affairs.
Mitchell is the face of Saint Laurent's spring ad campaign, which debuted in January, and the folk legend still serves as many fan's style spirit animal, with her signature fringe-and-turquoise boho look helping put L.A.'s Laurel Canyon folk scene on the map in the late 1960s.
