Rihanna and Louis C.K. might sound like an unlikely pairing, but “Saturday Night Live” has chosen to close its season with that very dynamic duo.
That’s right. Comedian Louis C.K. is set to host the final episode of “SNL” this season with Rihanna as musical guest on May 16, according to Billboard. Hopefully we can expect a skit featuring Louie and Rih Rih together, right?
Before the finale, Scarlett Johansson and Wiz Khalifa will pair up for the May 2 episode of “SNL.” That’s timely. The episode comes just a day after “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” hits theaters.
The Reese Witherspoon and Florence + The Machine episode will air on May 9. That’s also a case of perfect timing. Witherspoon’s “Hot Pursuit” is set to open May 8. Plus, Florence + Machine’s How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful is scheduled to be released later this year.
Rihanna’s May 16 appearance won’t be her first on “SNL.” She’s had more than a few unforgettable performances on the show. Back in 2010, for instance, Rih did a memorable sketch with Shy Ronnie.
In 2012, Rihanna’s “Diamonds” shined on the “Saturday Night Live” stage.
And I mean, who could forget her touching “Stay” performance?
Looks like “SNL’s” closing the curtains on this season with three star-studded shows.
