Yesterday (April 27), Hilary Duff admitted in an interview that she had started using Tinder and dished out some awesome advice for navigating the app like a pro. Not only that, but Hil also revealed she was going on her very first date with a guy from Tinder that night, saying, “we’re going bowling.”
Cut to today, and it appears the “Younger” actress did indeed go on her little bowling excursion, judging by this pic she posted on Twitter.
But you know what? Forget about that photo. That photo is the least interesting thing on the internet, solely because of a newer, better photo that trumps every other one in existence.
That’s because earlier today, Hilary’s former “Lizzie McGuire” costar Jake Thomas gave us Christmas in April when he posted this adorable and nostalgia-inducing snap on Instagram.
MIRANDA! LIZZIE! MATT! ALL TOGETHER! IN THE YEAR 2015!
Jake posted little information other than the cheeky caption, “So this happened last night…#LizzieMcGuire.”
Lalaine, a.k.a. Miranda, also posted a black-and-white version of the pic, simply saying, “About last night…”
There are several mysterious and noteworthy things going on here, so let’s break it down one by one. But first, a little theme music to set the mood.

First of all, Hilary looks AMAZING.
She said yesterday that she would probably only have 15 minutes to get ready for her date, but the girl looks stunning…and really happy! Whether that’s because her date was going swimmingly or because she’s sandwiched between two of her longtime friends isn’t totally clear, but hopefully it’s a combination of the two.

The once-puny little rascal who constantly kept ruining his onscreen big sis’ life has grown up hella nice. Look, he has facial hair! It’s weird, but I like it.

Lalaine! Dear sweet Lalaine, who seemed to drop off the face of the earth after “Lizzie McGuire” ended, has finally proved she’s still alive and well.

I hope Tinder Dude is a “Lizzie McGuire” fan and appreciated how effin’ lucky he was to not only go on a date with Queen Hilary Duff, but ALSO to see this magic reunion happen before his eyes.
He better not have screwed it up.

This photo begs the question: why were Lalaine and Jake there?
In one scenario, they could have been there together, seen Hilary on her date, and simply had a chance reunion. That seems a little far-fetched to me, but at least it would mean Jake and Lalaine are probably still tight IRL, which is a cute thought.

In another scenario, Hilary could’ve invited them along.
After all, she DID say yesterday that she planned to bring a few friends on her date. Maybe Jake and Lalaine are part of her crew?

The way Lalaine and Hilary are tightly gripping each other makes me wonder if Hilary’s date was actually a disaster.
It’s like Lalaine is clutching on to Hil to warn her that Tinder Dude is a loser and/or potential serial killer.

But Jake is probably pretty protective over Hilary so maybe it’s good he was there in case Tinder Dude turned out to be a creep.
