'Glee' star Lea Michele starts filming Cory Monteith tribute episode

Glee actress Lea Michele has hinted that the cast have started filming the show's tribute episode for her late boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith.

Monteith, who starred as Finn from the very beginning of the comedy-drama, passed away at the age of 31 last month from a .

Michele revealed her character Rachel's 'Finn' necklace on Twitter on Friday (August 23), indicating that Glee's tribute episode for Monteith is underway.

Michele paid an emotional tribute to Monteith at this year's Teen Choice Awards, wearing a necklace that spelled out 'Cory'.

"I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you and tell everyone out there how much all of your love and support has meant to me over these very difficult past weeks," she said.

"For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise that with your love we're going to get through this together."

Jane Lynch has called Glee's upcoming memorial episode for Monteith the . Glee boss Ryan Murphy recently confirmed that Finn will not die from a drug overdose in the episode.

Glee will return for its fifth season in the US on September 26 with a two-part Beatles episode, followed by the tribute to Monteith.
