Artist Alyson Conway has unveiled a collection of bronze statues based on the suicidal characters from the classic video game.
The statues are situated behind the old offices of Lemmings studio DMA Design , the company which went on to release the original Grand Theft Auto titles.
"As part of the piece I wanted to incorporate the physical environment, so the low stone wall and pillars act like a 2D game level which the little lemmings are trying to traverse," Conway told Scottish Games Network .
"A lookout is atop one pillar scouting the way across, while behind him a climber clambers up and below a builder is laying bricks."
Lemmings was originally released for home computers in 1991, going on to find success on 31 platforms and spawn a string of sequels, including the recent Lemmings Touch on PS Vita.
