Tamera Foster has defended Nicole Scherzinger's "tough love" approach with her at X Factor's Judges' Houses, claiming that the Pussycat Doll star's sternness with her inspired her to work harder.
"I'm happy she gave me some tough love," said Tamera. "It made me realise how much I needed to fight for this. I think it made me give my best performance.

"I'm happy she gave me some tough love," said Tamera. "It made me realise how much I needed to fight for this. I think it made me give my best performance.
"I think a lot of pressure has been put on me because I'm the youngest in the competition. That's good in a way, because that's going to push me to do better."
Scherzinger described this year's Judges' Houses as "the hardest ever" and said that all the producers agreed that the talent was "undeniable" and stronger than previous years.
"All six girls were strong and amazing and all these girls had to really fight for their spot," she said.
The X Factor Live Shows start at 8pm tonight (September 12) on ITV.
