Pop divas JC Cassis and Rony G, front-women of the group known as XELLE, are back with a hot new single, titled "Red Flag," that embodies a powerful social message.

The pair wanted to bring visibility to and generate a larger discussion about the pervasive anti-gay sentiment in Russia through the framework of their latest hit.

“What’s happening in Russia with the anti-LGBT crackdown is reminiscent of Germany before World War II," Cassie reportedly stated. "If we don’t stop the hatred now, it will grow, spread and become more severe, leading to violence and death for thousands or even millions of people. We can’t stand by and do nothing. We must raise our voices and let Russia know these laws are unacceptable to the international community. Ultimately, if we all work together, respect and equality will win.”

XELLE first rose to prominence with their video for "Party Girl," showcasing an illegal dance party filmed in the middle of the night on a New York City subway in 2011. The duo said in a statement that they want "Red Flag" to show their serious side and have it be "the theme song for a movement that helps change the world for the better.”

The music video is much more than just that -- the pair is utilizing the single as a platform for a social media campaign that establishes international solidarity for LGBT people. "The goal is to get as many people as possible to post videos, pictures and social media updates with the hash tag #IRaiseARedFlag in order to show the global community that anti-LGBT sentiment, behavior and legislation will not be tolerated," the duo reportedly stated.
