Just as parents have been known to absorb annoying language trends from their kids, children are apt to pick up the language and behaviors they observe in adults, older siblings -- or movies and television shows. In an ad released earlier this year that has recently started to go viral, Common Sense Media, a nonprofit that keeps tabs on entertainment for kids of all ages, powerfully illustrates the jarring influence of age-inappropriate entertainment on a little one's brain.
