We've talked to Directioners, Smilers and even hung out with a few Lovatics, so we know that being a music fan takes a whole lot of heart and dedication. So now we're wondering... which fan group has the most dedication.
That's why MTV launched Last Fans Standing, a contest for the fans, to see which group is the most die-hard when it comes to supporting the artist they love. Lovatics took home the prize last year as 2012's best fans. Think they can be ousted from the top spot?
Here's how it works: Go to MTV's Facebook for the "Best of 2013: Last Fans Standing" photo album.
Within the album, you'll find pics of your favorite artists. All you've got to do is share the artist you like most, whether it be Lady Gaga or Bruno Mars. But act fast! Voting for the first round ends at 1 p.m. ET today (December 31).
Check back at 2 p.m. ET to find out which fans made it to the top eight. After that, there are more challenges to come. So take a break from wallpapering your room with Katy Perry posters, and get voting, Katy Cats! It's your fangirl/boy duty.
