Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends, Complete Edition dated for April

Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends and Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition have been confirmed for release in Europe on April 4.

The former is exclusive to PlayStation 3, while the latter is coming to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

Xtreme Legends is a standalone expansion for Tecmo Koei 's brawler Dynasty Warriors 8, which was released last year, with new features including additional story content, secondary EX attacks for all characters and a boosted level cap.

It will also see the introduction of five new characters, bringing the total number of warriors to 82.

The Complete Edition for PS4 and Vita is a bundle of the original Dynasty Warriors 8 and Xtreme Legends.

"The reason behind Complete Edition is because previously Dynasty Warriors 8 wasn't on those platforms, so we would like the players to enjoy Dynasty Warriors 8 as well," Tecmo Koei previously explained on its blog.

Players can import data for the original Dynasty Warriors 8 to the deluxe editions.
