The 30-second clip shows a collision between two vehicles, leaving one victim unconscious while the other flees the scene.
The Nintendo 3DS crossover combines the puzzle-solving skills of Layton with the courtroom-based action that Wright partakes in.
Both characters will need to work together to solve puzzles and resolve court trials.
The game's European box art was unveiled last month.
Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright arrives March 28 in Europe at retail and on the Nintendo eShop.
