An X-Men: Days of Future Past producer has said that she wants Channing Tatum for a solo Gambit film.
"I'm dying to do a Gambit movie with Channing Tatum," she told Empire .
Taylor Kitsch cameoed as Gambit in the poorly received 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Lauren Shuler Donner has revealed that the 21 Jump Street actor is on board to play the Cajun mutant.

"I'm dying to do a Gambit movie with Channing Tatum," she told Empire .
"That doesn't have to be a great big movie. It's a thief in New Orleans, it's a whole different story.
"He's on board, and I have to get the studio on board. How can anyone resist Channing? He's such a sweetheart."
Tatum has previous indicated that he would be interested in playing the character.

Tatum will next be seen in 22 Jump Street , Jupiter Ascending and Foxcatcher .
X-Men: Days of Future Past will arrive in UK cinemas on May 22 and in the US on May 23.
