The online retailer's production arm has been experimenting with its own television shows, amid growing competition from Netflix and Hulu.

In February, Amazon Studios produced ten original pilots including two dramas, three comedies, and five children's shows for users to view.
After a month of voting, four shows have been picked up to series, according toVariety .
The shows include a dramedy based on a memoir by Blair Tindall called Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent, a dark comedy about a family in Los Angeles with boundary issues.
Meanwhile, The After is a science fiction drama centred around eight individuals brought together by mysterious forces. Finally Bosch is based on Michael Connelly's best-selling crime book series, following lead character Harry Bosch.
Original online programming has been steadily growing in popularity in recent years.
Netflix has enjoyed success with several original shows, including Hemlock Grove and Orange is the New Black .
Its political series starring Kevin Spacey, House of Cards, became the first web-based show to receive Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
Season two of the series was watched by 15% of Netflix users.
