Google Partners With Ray-Ban and Oakley for Wearable Glasses

While we already dig what Google Glass has to offer (its ability to display photos, videos, and messages on the wearer's right eye), the techy frames just got a lot cooler as Google announced on Monday its partnership with Ray-Ban and Oakley.

Luxottica -- the parent company of the two aforementioned labels -- will work with the tech giant to integrate Glass features to into the signature styles of Ray-Ban (Brad Pitt, David Beckham and Diane Kruger are fans) and Oakley (Jessica Biel and Zac Efron have worn the label).

STORY: Google Glass Releases Wearable Frames

"Luxottica has built an impressive history over the last 50 years designing, manufacturing and distributing some of the most successful and well-known brands in eyewear today," Astro Teller, the head of Google X, the lab where Glass was first developed, said in the statement. "We are thrilled to be partnering with them as we look to push Glass and the broader industry forward into the emerging smart eyewear market."

In January, Google announced a new line of hipster-inspired wearable frames with four newly designed options priced at $224 each, which will be available later this year.

The prices and availability of the Ray-Ban and Oakley versions have yet to be announced. Either ways, we're stoked.
