The real estate ripple effect continues on a grand scale at Bighorn, an ultra-exclusive golf club 14 miles east of downtown Palm Springs.
Mary Hart and Burt Sugarman, Warner Bros.' Dan Fellman, Legendary Entertainment's Bruce Rosenblum and producer Jerry Weintraub have houses in the 1,500-acre community, where properties go for as much as $40 million.
Two 25,000-square-foot houses are under construction, part of a shift toward more massive desert retreats. "That's a substantial size for a second home," says on-site real estate agent Lorna Ball. Current listings include Casbah Cove ($24.5 million), a 16,800-square-foot Morocco-inspired mansion with four bedroom suites, detached guest quarters and a black-granite infinity pool.
