Pharrell Brings His Hat To Future's 'Move That Dope': Watch Now

The omnipresent Pharrell Williams just keeps marching on. Just three days after his second solo LP, G I R L, was officially released to the masses, Skateboard P makes an appearance in Future's new music video for "Move That Dope," in a huge departure from the happy-go-lucky tracks that made him the toast of Billboard, the Grammys and the Oscars.

The Benny Boom-directed clip finds Future Vandross in an alley in Los Angeles, flanked by Pusha T and Pharrell after the opening sequence teases with a good old-fashioned police chase.

The visuals seem to harken back to the days of the cult classic film, "New Jack City," with the lyrical trio opining about their hustler ways in an old school Jeep Wrangler and using an old clunky cell phone circa 1990.

First up is Future, who serves up his rhymes in an undisclosed location with red-lit smoke pluming from the street beneath him. Next is King Push, who serves up his rhymes in his usual calculated way, using his hands to punctuate each line. While he's delivering his Pyrex-laden couplets, the police chase resumes with the boys in blue in hot pursuit of an unmarked van.

Running anchor leg is Pharrell, who's decked out in a Billionaire Boys Club hoody and, you guessed it, his signature big buffalo hat. As a bevy of women spray paint his "i am other" phrase on a wall, the "Happy" crooner flips the script:

"These ni--as is knocking over vehicles

These ni--as ain't waitin' just to see ni--as

These ni--as ain't tryna hear plea ni--as

These ni--as like choppin' down trees, ni--as

These ni--as 1-2-3 and they squeeze, ni--as

These ni--as hit the weed then they leave ni--as

Gee, ni--a"

Obviously, Pharrell is enjoying his brief respite from all the feel-good tunes for a little musical mischief. When police finally catch up to the van, it's a decoy, with two women hopping out with Future and his crew far away from the scene. Careful viewers will also notice brief cameos by Wiz Khalifa, Tyler, the Creator and Schoolboy Q.
