Terry Crews up for Marvel's Luke Cage series on Netflix: "I'm game"

Terry Crews has revealed that he is keen to play Luke Cage in Marvel's upcoming Netflix series.

"I took myself out of the Luke Cage running a while back," Crews told Collider . "It was [just] people trying to put people against each other - Idris [Elba] vs. Michael Jai [White] and I'm like, wait a minute, this is not even green-lit.

"Don't put me against my homeboy for a movie that's not existing, I said. Take me out!"

However, Crews confirmed that he would consider the role of Cage now that the Netflix / Marvel series is in active development.

"I never rule anything out - I'm game," he laughed. "What's up, Marvel? I ain't going nowhere!"

Netflix's four Marvel shows - Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist - will lead into team-up mini-series The Defenders.

Crews currently stars in Fox sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine and will also be seen reprising his role of Hale Caesar in action movie sequel The Expendables 3 later this year.
