Brian Bowen Smith/E! Joan Rivers is getting a very special posthumous honor.
Almost two months after the legendary 81-year-old comedian passed away from complications of throat surgery, Rivers has been nominated for a Women's Image Network Award for hosting the hit E! show Fashion Police.
Rivers' WIN nomination is for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance in last year's "September Issue" episode of Fashion Police. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers , a producer on Fashion Police, is also nominated for producing the "September Issue" episode.
Rivers is certainly in good company for this year's WIN Awards. Other notable nominees include Shonda Rhimes , who is nominated for a producing award for Scandal, and Julia Roberts and her niece Emma Roberts , who are both nominated in the category of TV Miniseries or Movie for The Normal Heart and American Horror Story: Coven respectively.
Julie Bowen , Julia Louis-Dreyfus , Zooey Deschanel , Whoopi Goldberg , Heidi Klum , Giuliana Rancic , Michelle Trachtenberg , Chelsea Handler , Vera Farmiga , Diane Kruger , Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Yolanda Foster and Lena Headey are all also nominated.
The 2014 WIN Awards take place on Sunday, Dec. 14.
