We knew when she was cast that Aubrey Plaza would make the perfect voice for internet sensation Grumpy Cat, but now we have proof that the two are a match made in kitty heaven.
Lifetime has premiered the first trailer for the upcoming feline festivity, “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever,” and it looks like a talking animal holiday movie for the history books.
The trailer features plenty of grump-isms from Plaza and her cat avatar, but it also looks like there’s some action in the works for this TV flick, whose plot follows Grumpy Cat and the 12-year-old girl who can hear her thoughts.
When she’s not looking adorable under a Christmas tree, Grumpy mows down a couple of foes with a paintball machine gun. She also gets surprisingly meta: “Don’t get sappy on me,” she says. “Wait, I forgot—it’s a Lifetime movie.” Watch the full trailer below.
“Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever” premieres on Lifetime on November 29.
