This guy’s foresight apparently can’t be more than a foot long.
The Subway diet may have worked for Jared Fogle, but 18-year-old Zachary Torrance of Fairfield, Alabama, did not achieve the same famously slimming results, police say. Torrance was allegedly so angered that he attempted to recoup the money he paid for sandwiches by robbing one Subway restaurant per day for most of a week — four of them in all.
“He stated to the detective he had attempted the ‘Jared Diet’ and it didn’t work,” Hueytown Police Chief Chuck Hagler told reporters. “He felt like he should get his money back.”
The local police department posted surveillance videos of the incidents on its Facebook page. A customer at Walmart (not Subway) recognized Torrance’s orange footwear, police say, and they rushed to arrest him.
We’re guessing that after a few days of jail food, he’ll wish he could “Eat Fresh.”
