Shah Rukh Khan has started work on Happy New Year.

The actor began shooting his first scenes for the Farah Khan movie on location in Dubai.

The director posted on Twitter: "Starts today! Thank u all 4 ur good wishes n positive energy."
Farah also shared an on set image of a clapperboard from the first day of filming.
Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Deepika Padukone co-star in the movie.
Music on the project has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar, who previously worked with Farah on Om Shanti Om and Tees Maar Khan.
The film is expected to release at Diwali 2014.
