Johnston and Palin welcomed Tripp in December 2008 but split shortly afterwards, with Palin being awarded full custody in 2010.

However, People reports that Johnston - who was rumoured to be seeking full custody last year - has now filed documents seeking equal responsibility for the 4-year-old.
Palin's attorney John Tiemessen has claimed that Johnston owes around $66,000 (£41,000) in back child support as of last month.
After his split from Palin, Johnston went on to marry Sunny Oglesby just over a year ago and the couple have a daughter called Breeze Beretta.
Meanwhile, Palin was criticised last year after Tripp was seen using a gay slur on her reality show Life's A Tripp, which documented her life as a single mother.
