The Westlife star becomes the latest King of the Jungle after beating fashion designer David Emanuel in the final public vote of the 2013 series.
On hearing that he had won the series, Egan said: "I don't know what to say. Everybody in here deserves to be in this chair, because it's been such a team effort and none of us would have got through this without each other.
"Everybody in here is a King and Queen, there's nothing else to it for me."
Emanuel added: "I'm thrilled for Kian, he's a great guy and he thoroughly deserves it."
Egan described his time in the jungle as "one of the best three weeks" of his life.
He explained: "Just being in there and meeting everybody and making such amazing friends. I don't know, I suppose it's an experience that all of us will take away forever.
"It is genuinely something you'll never forget for the rest of your life. I highly recommend it to everybody, included you two!" he said to Ant and Dec.
Meanwhile, Emanuel described the experience as "extraordinary", admitting he wanted to conquer the jungle after winning his battle with cancer last year.
"It's extraordinary and it's been an amazing journey. I really didn't think I could hack it," he said. "The first [trial] with all the cockroaches, I thought 'maybe it's time to go'."
2012 winner Charlie Brooks was on hand to pass over her crown to Egan. He becomes the ninth King of the Jungle, following in the footsteps of McBusted stars Matt Willis and Dougie Poynter.
